Grain Ermitage Président Troillet

2023

Traubensorten Marsanne
Trinktemperatur 10° - 14°

Marsanne is native to the Rhône Valley, and Valais is known to be its northernmost part. As such, it is also one of the local specialties there. Marie-Thérèse names it after the home appellation of the Ermitage variety. However, this wine has a completely different character, but one thing at a time. The aroma is unmistakably Marsanne, those quince and honey notes, that delicate, subliminal spiciness, but there's something I can't put my finger on that makes the wine incredibly deep, almost like Albus Dumbledore's brainchild. On the palate, the wine is wonderfully powerful, even more so, it is superbly finely chiseled, and its freshness is terrific, it takes away the weight and lets it finish endlessly long, dancing, finely salty. Chapeau, Marie-Thérèse!
