Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

This 2016 Cab from Bob Foley is one hot item. Wow! Purple, it clings to the glass and hurls wagonloads of tar, tuber melanosporum, blackberry and cassis aromas at me. What an expressive, extremely neat wine. On the palate, however, it is not exactly shy either, taking its place, dense and powerful, endowed with plenty of the very best structure. The finish is spectacularly long, juicy and wonderfully balanced. There is a lot of wine in the glass. If you give it a few years to mature in the bottle, a wonderfully finesse-rich, malty wine will emerge. Once in the glass, you will realize that you have put far too little of it in the cellar. Take precautions, buy enough of it, because there is no way you will be able to resist it.
