Germany - Baden

I was completely blown away by the 2016 Bellen, which Martin Lunter brought over in the fall of 2021. I mean, I've tasted and yes, drunk quite a few things, but I haven't often had such a "spicy" wine on my nose and palate! Alexander Götze and Christoph Wolber are two friends, they are Wasenhaus and have been making the finest Burgundy wines since the 2016 vintage, albeit in Baden. Year after year, the two continuously improve the quality of their work in the vineyard and ultimately that of their wines. Expect the unexpected, wines with a delicacy, transparency and complexity that can only be found in the very best domains in France. Passion that is still present in the last, tiny drop that clings to the bottom of the glass. Simply breathtaking!
