France - Barsac

Jean-Marie Guffens put this wine on my doorstep, so to speak, a GREAT wine. Guffens is also still a junior in the sweet wine business. But his immense talent, his enormous energy and experience, his visionary nature make all the difference. Jean-Marie has only been making wine in Barsac since 2017 and has already hit a home run for me with the 2018. Sémillon and Sauvignon Gris, supplemented with a touch of Muscadelle, combine to create energetic, precise, feather-light wines that I have rarely, if ever, had in my glass. Believe me, in future we will increasingly be having a glass of sweet wine at the end of a nice evening with family and friends. And when you have tasted these wines for the first time, you will feel the same way!
