Wow, now that's a family story. In 1794, the Pigniers bought the domain from the Carthusian monks "L'Ordre des Chartreux" and are now the last wine-growing estate in Montaigu. It is not just the old, beautiful vaulted cellar that impresses us, no, it is the pioneering spirit of the Pigniers, which is difficult to put into words. They have been cultivating their vineyards biodynamically since the 1990s - today they even have the coveted "Demeter" label on their label. But it is not so much about progress for them, no, it is more about respect for the land they live on, which they cultivate, for the plants they cultivate and for the wines they press, all in harmony with Mother Nature. Their incomparable efforts in the vineyard are the basis for wines that are rarely - if ever - found, not just in the Jura, but anywhere.
