I was also able to taste this wine recently at a dinner we organized for our winemakers and friends on the occasion of the first Matter of Taste in Zurich. It was a magnum of 2004 and I didn't get more than the tasting sip. The magnum was emptied so quickly that you could almost see contrails in the Bü's restaurant, that's how quickly the guests moved towards the wine: it was HAMMER! And the 2015 version promises to be just as divine, one day with a little more maturity. It smells wonderfully fruity, but also spicy and on the palate it is a stunner, in the truest sense of the word. The tannins are silky and the finish is breathtaking. Could be something for you, perhaps! This wine is only released in combination with the Tradition cuvée, in a ratio of two parts Tradition and one part Combe des Fous.
