DERNAUER Spätburgunder

2021

Traubensorten Pinot Noir
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

The Dernau Pinot Noir is virtually a "village wine". Burggarten, Pfarrwingert and Hardtberg are the sources of the fruit. Around two thirds of the grapes were destemmed and fermented spontaneously. Matured without sulphur in old barrels made from local oak, the wine is so incredibly clear, so open and wonderfully accessible, even in its youth. Wonderful! That's the way to do it! Floral aromas dominate the first impression, great! Cherry scents and a hint of raspberry give the fragrance depth. The wine flows into the palate with palpable energy, appears dense and yet the Dernauer remains transparent, showing fine-grained tannins and a juicy acidity. But don't worry, everything remains wonderfully balanced. This wine combines the seemingly contradictory, namely power and finesse, density and elegance in a wonderfully unique way. You should definitely try it if you like Burgundy!
