EABA Santa Barbara County

2018

Traubensorten Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, Viognier
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

This block of Grenache was irresistible to Jim, even when it turned out that there was probably not enough fruit for a pure Grenache. All understandable, Jim was the kid in the candy store. It was too tempting to be able to make a great Grenache, irresistible, Jim simply had to sign the contract! Looking back, he's happy, so am I, and I'm sure you will be too soon. In August at the latest, when you will be one of the lucky ones to have the first bottles in your cellar. However, this is not a pure Grenache, it wasn't enough for that, but it is Jim's ideal of a Rhône blend based on Syrah, with Mourvèdre, Grenache and Viognier. Black olive tapenade, Cuban tobacco, cherry pepper and herbs combine to create a super neat nose. Powerful, with round, juicy tannins, the EABA flows into the palate and ends dense and fleshy, almost not wanting to break off. Wow!
