Madrona Ranch Proprietary Red Wine

2017

Traubensorten Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

If Abreu Vineyard has a center, it is Madrona Ranch, which is located in the west of St. Helena and where it all began in the 1980s. The vineyards meander into the canyon and up the western flank of the hill and stand on three different soils, which makes the harvest in the fall more complex and, above all, extends it over weeks. In return, Brad Grimes has the opportunity to play with the different lots, so to speak, when he assembles the blends around 23 months after the harvest. A magical site! The 2017 is spectacular! It combines contradictory qualities, namely power and finesse. Power as such is never the problem with Cabernets from Napa, but power and finesse paired together is exactly what we are looking for, which makes the wine so unique and simply fabulously delicious. This is Madrona Ranch! Thank God you don't just have to trust me, because the most important critics see it exactly the same way!
