Mercurey Rouge Clos des Touches

Psst, this one is my personal favorite. So, for during the week, if it's not a Premier Cru. The Clos de Touches, whose vines grow right next to the winery high above the valley floor of Mercurey, cannot be tamed. Its aroma tickles my nose from afar and makes me raise my glass to it with great anticipation, because what I smell from afar is incredibly appealing. Like a bouquet of fresh flowers that cannot be described individually because the aromas are complex and incredibly profound. With a little air, exotic spicy notes begin to spread and there is also a hint of dark chocolate. Great!

Fleshy, dense for a Burgundy, the wine moves through the palate and shows its fine tannins, which are as fine as powder. Lively, well-integrated acidity makes the wine elegant, gives it length and opens the receptors for a wonderfully mineral finish. GREAT!
