Roero Riserva Ròche d'Ampsèj

2017

Traubensorten Nebbiolo
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

If you didn't know what you had in your glass, you would be lost. In a picture tasting, we would almost certainly classify this wine in the Barolo appellation, perhaps after La Morra. A nice compliment, in our opinion. But it also plays in this league in terms of price, so you can expect that. The wine shows fine brownish reflections in the light red color, smells of leather, then again of licorice and hellishly seductive of strawberries (Mize Schindler). The spectacle continues on the palate, where the wine is initially pithy, but the extract immediately takes over and washes over the tannins with plenty of sweetness and wonderful fruit. A great Barolo, sorry, Roero of course!
