Rothwell Hyde Proprietary Red Wine

Is this a second wine or not, you may ask. And, I don't have an answer for you, unfortunately. Brad Grimes David Abreu's winemaker is just as fanatical about quality as his boss. Only the very, very best is good enough for the Single Vineyard wines. I think that's the way it should be! I would like to emphasize that! Of course, there is always a barrel that is super good, but just doesn't fit into the big wine. Or sometimes there's a vineyard that has great fruit but is still a bit young. Of course, Brad also makes a wine from it to see what the vineyard is already capable of delivering. Can you see what I'm trying to say? This wine ends up with top-quality lots that simply don't want to match the other cuvée or come from young vineyards. The attention, dedication and ultimately the effort is the same as for the single vineyard wines. So this is a bargain!
