Südtiroler Lagrein Riserva

The Riserva seems to show a bit of barrel ageing, as the color is less dense when the wine is fresh, so to speak, from the press. But that doesn't matter at all, because it has more than enough color. Instead, the wine becomes more complex, with a wonderful aroma of liquorice, elderberries and sage. On the palate, the wine is incredibly dense, but without losing its elegance for even a fraction of a second. Its structure carries it for a long time and gives it a silky and juicy finish.
