Have you ever had a NATUR champagne in your glass that rocks? I never have. But now that I've enjoyed Les Loges, that has changed! If you know Richard Leroys wines, then you know that these are natural wines or orange wines, i.e. wines without added sulphur, vinified in such a way that they are not orange in color and do not smell or taste of brown, oxidized apples. And Les Loges is just such a wine, an ENORMOUS natural wine with no added sulphuric acid at all, which you can enjoy a glass (or better still several) of with relish. Quince notes are clearly discernible on the nose, as are those little mandarins from Sicily. And with air, the wine becomes spicy. Even without dosage, Les Loges manages to plump up the palate. Its freshness gives it a dancing, ultra-long finish with a finely salty aftertaste. Hellishly good, this Les Loges!
