Bourgogne Aligoté

I am firmly convinced that if Aligoté is given enough attention, as it is by Christophe Grandmougin, it can grow into an extremely attractive wine; one that embodies the spirit of the times like few others. Today, we want to enjoy lighter wines, but without sacrificing a multi-layered spectacle of aromas. This is exactly what you can expect from Grandmougins Aligoté! The scent of the wine is decidedly sunny and spring-like: first there are fine acacia notes, then the scent of hawthorn - you know, that seductive, bright, sweet scent that often flutters around your nose on a walk - which I like so much, and suddenly the apple takes over. Great! It delicately caresses the taste buds and dances playfully across the tongue. The finish of this Aligoté, my favorite Aligoté, is wonderfully juicy and delicately mineral!
