Bourgogne Blanc Jeunes Vignes et Derniers Jus

Guffens-Heynen is THE superstar, not only in the Mâconnais, no, it can't even compete with the wines of the famous appellations in the north! What an introduction this simple Bourgogne Blanc offers. Exactly, this wine could, no, this wine IS the "trigger" to want to have Jean-Marie's great single-vineyard wines later, whatever the cost. Modest as I am, I enjoy this little wine, which was made from the second pressings of the Guffens vineyard wines and the fruit of the young plantings, to the full. You should too, if you can get hold of one of the few bottles. There is a wonderful peach fruit, some wax and floral scents that give way to a fleeting orange peel fragrance, but only for a very brief moment. Wonderful! It's amazing how much substance the wine conveys. Wow!
