Chardonnay Mays Canyon

We cannot point out often enough that there are also delicate, elegant, fresh Chardonnays in California, such as this Mays Canyon Chardonnay from Littorai. It smells subtly of citrus peel, somehow spicy, delicately floral of white flowers and its distinctly mineral character is already evident on the nose. This fragrance is incredibly complex and neat. Incidentally, I am deliberately holding back here so as not to drift into sexism like other colleagues. The wine flows into the palate almost without resistance. All of a sudden it marks its presence, I almost said tannins, it covers the tongue and palate like a crystal-clear coating before the freshness, or let's call it by its name, the acidity opens the floodgates and guides everything precisely into the gullet like a water feature. Harmony sets in and saliva immediately begins to flow en masse. This is exactly how I imagine a Chardonnay from California!
