Saint-Aubin 1er Cru La Chatenière

We looked at Saint-Aubin years ago and always found beautiful wines. But the consistency was lacking. Until, yes, until Joseph Colin went into business for himself in 2016. Joseph managed to win us over by bottling really, really good wines three years in a row. This one is such a delight that it doesn't have to hide for a second behind the world-famous Chardonnays on the neighboring hills! Sentir du Clou is a revelation, redolent of green apples, with peach aromas floating underneath, adorned with fresh lemon flavors. The wine flows very directly into the palate, radiates and exerts a lot of pressure. It unpacks the freshness and cleans everything away cleanly so that there is enough room for the saliva, which flows in masses. The finish is juicy and mineral. Incidentally, the site is rather cool. But one that Joseph really likes and always, I mean always, produces a great wine with him!
