Traubensorten Chardonnay
Trinktemperatur 12° - 14°

What do you mean, a Chardonnay from Gigondas? Wait, not Gigondas Séguret, but that's practically jacket and pants. I was wondering the same thing. But that shouldn't really be a problem, because Julien is no dumbass. Julien chose a shady corner for this project and planted the Chardonnay on clay, which can store water. This layer of clay is covered by lime chips. This prevents the water from evaporating freely; it repeatedly condenses and flows back - the same principle as in the Galets Roulets in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where vines can grow without being irrigated. Cool, isn't it? Argumen, or citrus scent, dominates the bouquet, almost like a wine from southern Burgundy, and there is a lot of pressure on the palate, but also a wonderful freshness. The wine is surprisingly taut and the finish is wonderfully mineral. A great, fresh wine.
