The Hirtzberger winery is an icon of the Austrian wine industry. A family business where the young generation, actively supported by their parents, presses the greatest Grüner Veltliners and Rieslings with a steady hand year after year. The Hirtzberger family's range is too large or our structure too small to include all the wines in our range, even if each one deserved it. So we decided on four wines: Axpoint and Honivogl for the Veltliners and Hochrain and the legendary Singerriedel for the Rieslings. All of these wines have sensational ageing potential and Jancis Robinson even says that the Grüner Veltliner can compete with the great white Burgundies. It's nice that the English have now found this out too ...
Once you have tasted them, you will never forget them: The extraordinary brilliance and depth of the fantastic white wines from the Emmerich Knoll family estate will leave an indelible mark on the connoisseur's memory. The world-class wines in the bottles with the classic label emblazoned with St. Urbanus come from small terraces on steep slopes and often only reveal all their charms after a few years in the bottle.
