No, no "Saignées" are made here, because the aim is to produce elegant wines, and of course the same idea is also pursued with rosé. That's right, the grapes come from the entire Ahr valley, because otherwise, as with the red wines, the name of the village would be mentioned on the label. Julia and Benedikt Bertram-Baltes usually take the fruit from their young plantations on the steep slopes for this wine; they press them and, after a minimal maceration period, they extract them, giving the wine its fine, light coloring. Wonderful, this cherry fruit, this delicate spiciness, which nestles up to the fruit aromas and carries them. Focused, i.e. super straightforward, it makes its way through the palate and ends with a powerful mineral finish. A juicy, delicate, elegant wine. This wine captures the spirit of the times - sustainable, light and also super tasty - perfect!
