Neuchâtel Oeil-de-Perdrix «Valentin»

Don't stop reading (please!): We had to talk Tatasciore into this wine for a long time. Because he hates Neuchâtel Oeil-de-Perdrix, to the core! He doesn't have a single good word to say about it. But Ruedin has a long, successful history with this wine. Something Tati couldn't understand. Time and time again, he asked himself how in God's name you can pour such one-dimensional wines, completely devoid of terroir, into yourself. In 2019, however, he took up the challenge and you will see that he has achieved a remarkable interim success. Because his Oeil-de-Perdrix is not one of those soulless wines. It has a wonderful aroma of small, ripe Mara-des-Bois strawberries, redcurrants and a hint of cardamom, in other words a little spicy. On the palate, the wine controls its muscles, almost shading them with a perfectly measured acidity, which on the other hand gives it an unexpected precision. It does work!
