Arco Tondo Merlot Riserva del Ticino

Arco Tondo is Mike's Cavallo di Battaglia, as they say in Italian. I personally like the interplay of dark berry fruit and the spicy component from the Caberent Franc. When young, there is also a hint of smoke from the barrique ageing, but this fades into the background with a few years of bottle ageing. On the palate, the wine flows with power, displays a noble and top-quality structure and entertains the connoisseur with a wonderful playfulness. A truly great Ticino!
