Don't despair, the wine just needs some air. If you - like us here - can't wait, then you should decant the wine for 60 or 90 minutes. Okay, so we've come this far. For me, the reds from Auxey-Duresses are somehow often dark berry in scent, not unlike this one, which also shows a hint of blue plums and cocoa in the scent and combines these two aromas perfectly with rose petals and a touch of orange peel to create an enticing perfume. Oops, there's something on the bone! Unexpectedly powerful, but without losing even a second of its grace, the wine moves elegantly through the palate until the tannins, as fine as powder, settle on the palate, only to be washed away again after a few seconds by a gush of saliva. This is how juicy works! A devilishly hot wine, in my opinion.
