The Calistoga is a spectacular wine. It grows in the Larkmead Vineyard, hard to believe, because the wines from Larkmead have never had the class of this wine. At first, the wine is not fruity, but rather mineral, with the scent of a freshly sharpened pencil rising from the glass. Then, of course, wonderful ripe fruit flavors join in, cassis of course, but also blueberries, which in turn combine with delicate tobacco aromas... wait, the wine smells like a box of all the best Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro... mmmhhh! In the next moment, something earthy comes to the fore, but only to be immediately replaced by the fantastic fruit. The palate is equally interesting.
