Cabernet Sauvignon «Last Rites» Cemetary Vineyard

2021

Traubensorten Cabernet Sauvignon
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

Thomas was convinced that there was no spot in Napa Valley worth planting that he didn't know about. It was in 2015 that Matt Hardin confidentially showed him a site near the famous To Kalon Vineyard that promised the potential for something great, in Bordeaux it is called 1er Grand Cru. Just in time for the two of them to influence the selection of the clones. What luck! Dark as night, the wine nestles in the glass and smells of berries, small red and black ones, light Cuban tobacco and very fine orange peel, which gives the fragrance something fleeting. The wine is not lacking in fullness. But there is enough ripe tannin to frame the wine without mutilating it. A mineral vein runs through the wine like fat through a good steak. Wonderful! This is for those of you with a little patience. A great Napa wine!
