Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Sometimes I don't understand these wine critics. Especially when I sit with John Kongsgaard and taste his Cabernet Sauvignon with him, or when I treat myself to a bottle at home. It's a mystery to me how anyone can dislike this magnificent wine. Sure, it's not like another Napa Cab, but that's a good thing. As we all know, variety makes life sweet, doesn't it? The fruit for Kongsgaard's Cabernet Sauvignon grows entirely on Atlas Peak, around the winery. Mountain fruit, then, and I mean mountain fruit, because from Silverado Country Club in Napa, it's all uphill for a good 25 minutes until you finally turn onto the little road to Kongsgaards. The wine is spicy and also somewhat fruity. Elegant how it moves on the palate, shows divine structure and ends harmoniously, fresh and precise. PERFECT! Forget Bordeaux, Kongsgaard, you can be sure you're buying something great! This is right up my alley!
