Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru

2017

Traubensorten Pinot Noir
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

Clos de Bèze, the hotspot in Burgundy? Quite possibly, because this is where some of the greatest wines of this highly regarded, historic region are grown. Yes, yes, Damoy's wine ranks alongside those of Perrot-Minot or Rousseau, two winegrowers who produce mythical wines. Most of the vines that ripen the fruit for this breathtaking wine were planted in 1920. Vieilles Vignes, here too! In addition to black berry fruit, its extremely complex aroma is composed of graphite notes and floral components to create a refined perfume that never ceases to move us. "Pure" and "clear" are two words I use to describe the wine ad hoc, after I have moved the first sip back and forth on my palate. Of course I completely agree with you, the first impression is the right one, here too. The show that the wine puts on here is captivating, overwhelming, almost monumental!
