Yes, of course, there's also a Charmes at Perrot-Minot. And I'll say it right away, a Mazoyères too! This line-up is unbelievable, isn't it? Christophe manages to accentuate the subtle differences between his Chambertin sites like no other. Don't worry, the differences are manifold, and not just when you enjoy all four Chambertin Perrot minots side by side! Where this "charm" in the name comes from becomes obvious the moment you have the wine in your glass. The wine has, yes exactly, charm! The wine has more feminine characteristics than its three brothers. First things first: It smells quite breathtaking, once of ripe Mara de Bois strawberries, then again of Tarocco oranges, but only to immediately hit a snag and smell wonderfully of sweet Arabian spices. It flows like silk on the palate, wonderfully round and wonderfully precise, ending in a brilliant finale, so to speak!
