Châteauneuf-du-Pape Sanctus Sanctorum

But what am I writing about, this is a wine from Clos Saint Jean, and as I always say, if it says Clos Saint Jean on the label, there is joy in the bottle. This is also true of the 2016 Sanctorum. The aroma is wonderfully black berry, spicy and floral, with some graphite grounding the fragrance. Although it is powerful on the palate, it also has this wonderful transparency as well as elegance, finesse and a wonderful minerality. This wine has it all! Now I just hope that you can get your hands on one of these magnums, but I can't promise it! But take courage!
