Châteauneuf-du-Pape Sanctus Sanctorum

2016

Traubensorten Grenache
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

He really does exist, this Sanctus Sanctorum. I know, unfortunately not everyone can have it, but we still wanted to show with this offer that it really exists and is not a phantom. A pure Grenache, matured in wood in demi-muids, a good part of which is new. You have to refill the barrel with the good wine every week to prevent oxidation. That is very, very important. But what am I writing about, this is a wine from Clos Saint Jean, and as I always say, if it says Clos Saint Jean on the label, there is joy in the bottle. This is also true of the 2016 Sanctorum. The aroma is wonderfully black berry, spicy and floral, with some graphite grounding the fragrance. Although it is powerful on the palate, it also has this wonderful transparency as well as elegance, finesse and a wonderful minerality. This wine has it all! Now I just hope that you can get your hands on one of these magnums, but I can't promise it! But take courage!
