EABA Santa Barbara County

So far I haven't said a single word about the somewhat unique name of this wine, I've just realized. An explanation would make a lot of sense, as the name stands for "End All Be All", which loosely translates as the actual meaning of something. Exactly, because it brings together what somehow belongs together, just like in the south of the Rhône Valley, where Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Viognier have been combined with nine other grape varieties for generations to create breathtaking wines, in almost countless appellations, on a wide variety of terroirs. Jim's aim is to be able to compete with the best wines from this region. Of course, his wine has a slightly different "feel". Nevertheless, it smells seductively of olives, violets, blackberries, pepper and flows powerfully through the palate with super-fine tannins. A Californian version of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape on the palate? Why not. Especially when it is of such excellent quality as this one!
