James Berry Vineyard

2021

Traubensorten Carignan, Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

James Berry Vineyard, is a sure value when it comes to Paso wines. You can't go wrong here.....really with any of Justin Smith's wines.James Berry is back to Grenache, which is still stabilized with some Mourvèdre, Syrah and Carignan. A stable guy, so to speak, this James Berry! It's good that Justin's core vineyard has turned the corner again. But, as we know from John Alban, the Rhône veteran of the Central Coast, this can happen with Grenache and Roussanne from time to time, that it carries very little or nothing. James Berry smells of blueberries, raspberries, violets, herbs, liquorice and even a hint of new leather. It flows unimaginably clearly into the palate, building up into an impressive wine before it conjures away everything superfluous and elegantly, yes you read that right, elegantly disappears and lingers for an incredibly long time. Great Paso Robles cinema!
