Vigna Larigi, as it was called back then, was perhaps the first Barbera to achieve cult status. Today I would describe it as an icon of the young history of Barbera. Silvia, then still a little girl, is now aware of her heritage and naturally gives her best Barbera grapes the attention they deserve. The Larigi has a wonderful, expressive and seductive aroma of red cherries and sour cherries. In addition to the wonderful fruit, there are also notes of violets, which lend the fragrance a wonderful lightness. Powerful, then elegant and shaped by a fine structure, it ends wonderfully juicy after a long finish. A wine that certainly needs some time in the bottle. But if, like me, you can't hold back, then you need to give the wine some air, it will need a good two hours to develop into a great Barbera!
