Mourvèdre

2020

Traubensorten Mourvedre, Syrah, Viognier
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

Wow, what did Lisa Perrotti-Brown of Parker's Wine Advocate write about Jim's Mourvèdre, have you read it? I quote: I think it is safe to say that with the possible exception of Beaucastel's Hommage a Jacques Perrin, there is no one in the world producing greater Mourvedre than Jim. And what do you think? Quite a big compliment, isn't it? Well, as you know, I'm more of a Syrah guy, so my rating would be exactly the opposite, but I still love this Mourvèdre! It smells so wonderfully spicy, like herbs, like licorice, like light Cuban tobacco and also a bit like dark chocolate. The texture on the palate is also a stunner, structured and then silky smooth on the finish. Unbelievable how the wine pours out a sweetness in the finish that wraps up the tannins and locks them away. An incredibly beautiful wine! If you want to get to know Mourvèdre, then you should take a look at this one, Parker also said! Not literally, but virtually!
