Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard

2022

Traubensorten Pinot Noir
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

Missed the twenty-year anniversary, sorry, because there has been a Savoy Vineyard near Littorai since 1995. Incidentally, the only one of Littorai's vineyards located in the valley, in the far north-east of the Anderson Valley, near Philo, a tiny village north-west of Bonnville. This wine is razor sharp in focus. The bouquet is loaded with blueberry flavors, spice and an insanely attractive lavender twist. I can't take the glass away from my nose. Interestingly, now with a little more air, unusual peppermint notes work their way to the fore. The bouquet keeps reassembling itself. So great! Full of energy, the wine flows into the palate and shows its muscles without being showy, because as always with Ted, it's all about elegance and complexity. I always like Savoy, this one perhaps even more so. By the way, I would never have realized that Ted only destemmed half of the fruit here. Chapeau!
