If you want to drink above-average wines in Burgundy without bleeding your wallet, you have to be prepared to look outside the municipalities of Gevery-Chambertin and Vosne-Romanée. In Santenay, for example, where the Vincents are undisputedly the best address, and not just for our tastes. With a great deal of dedication and at least as much talent, they produce wines that can easily compete with those of the major appellations. Perhaps not quite up there with the top ten, but they are still at the forefront, and at a bargain price! Beaurepaire, where 14,000 vines stand and provide fruit for a wine whose bouquet has a variety of scents, such as ripe cherries, spices and suddenly cocoa, is the best proof of the quality you get here at Vincents. It's wonderful how the structure is incorporated into the body, just like one of the greats! Incidentally, it is already fun in its youth, but without losing any of its ageing potential.
