Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières

If Santenay had Grand Cru sites, Les Gravières would be one of them. For two decades, the Vincents have worked hard, reflected and perfected their work in the vineyard and in the cellar. Today, it is fair to say that their wines have the class to mingle with the greats of the Côte d'Or without attracting negative attention. Let this statement melt in your mouth again and take a look at the price of these wines. Ok, I see my message has gotten through! Now a quick word about the wine: multi-layered aromas such as cassis, dark chocolate, spices and, yes, can it be, peonies are constantly reassembling themselves and entertain the nose in the best possible way. The wine flows like velvet into the palate, showing density on the one hand, but also a wonderfully fluffy structure that polishes off the juicy acidity at the end. What remains is an almost never-ending, wonderfully harmonious mouthfeel that makes you salivate! Great!
