Saumur rouge Les Moulins

Les Moulins is still the entry-level wine among the reds. This may be due to the fact that the vineyard is cultivated organically but is not yet certified. Or because Romain is still trimming the vines for quality. Nevertheless, I have to say that the term "entry-level wine" is somewhat pejorative, because Les Moulins has a lot to offer. It smells great! Spicy, of course, because it is a Cabernet Franc, but there are also a few pretty fruit aromas meandering through the wonderful herbal spice, giving the fragrance a little more depth. On the palate, the wine shows wonderful, ripe tannins which, on the one hand, testify to an optimally ripe fruit and, on the other, to a sure instinct when it comes to the maceration time. In addition, the wine packs the structure into an athletic body in a great way and finishes juicy, harmonious and so beautiful that you immediately have to take another sip to check whether the wine is really that good! Great, isn't it?
