It's been a long time since we had a Pinot Noir from Ignaz Niedrist on offer. However, this has nothing at all to do with its quality. On the contrary, it simply didn't sell. A few months ago, I came across a solitary bottle of the 2010, which we opened that very evening. I can tell you, it was a FEST! Beautifully ripe, expansive and open with a great, firm core and a fabulous finish. An impressive wine! Ignaz said that if I liked the 2010 Südtiroler Blauburgunder so much, I should try his top wine, the Riserva. And yes, what can I say, here it is. A real Burgundy. It's still young, but it will get better. Have the courage to try it, you'll see, it can do something! I certainly did, I've already had a bottle and was thrilled!
