A hot example of this patrina. Today, Patrina is what Reva used to be in the 90s. And I can assure you, it was hellishly good, it is hellishly good, because just recently, we enjoyed another 1996 Reva. GREAT! But back to Patrina, which nestles impenetrably dark against the glass and smells so fragrant that it takes your breath away! Blackcurrants seem to mingle with dark chocolate. Suddenly, however, the wine smells smoky, like steak and bacon. These dark, no, black, small cherries seem to be hiding behind it. The bouquet is complex, deep, just as the color of the wine is dark. On the palate, the wine has just as much to offer as on the nose. Its structure is so well integrated that it is difficult to recognize. Perfect! A silky, harmonious wine that is already wonderful to enjoy now, but which will easily keep for ten or more years.
