"Cailloux" or "Gallets roulet", as they are called in the south of France, cover the ground of this vineyard and make the horses' horseshoes clatter. Close your eyes ... can you hear it too? The wine that grows here is one of the very finest in the USA, oh, what am I saying, probably on the planet! The perfume wafting from the glass is incredibly complex and profound, veiling the senses. Spice, blood, mushrooms, forest floor, soy sauce, asphalt, bacon, blueberries, leather. All these aromas alternate in indescribable purity and intensity. The palate also makes the eyes widen, because the polished, polished tannins give this above-average powerful Syrah a frame that it fills to the brim. The finish is unexpectedly mineral, even salty. Great! If you're looking for a powerhouse, then you've come to the right place. But please don't be too hasty! Give the wine some time to mature and put it away for at least four or five, better six years before you enjoy it - the wine will thank you for it.
