I have an incomparable wine in my glass, that is as clear as day. I think I recognize parallels to a great Côte Rôtie from an excellent year. Wonderful! Freshly crushed, wonderfully fruity and yet spicy Telly cherry pepper rises to my nose and is carried by a wonderful black pudding aroma, cinnamon is also present as well as cloves. The very next moment I smell the beguiling blackcurrants, which are responsible for the deep tones and alternate with the scent of orange peel essential oils, the high tones. The wine is wonderfully balanced on the palate. Its structure shapes the muscular body and leaves no room for doubt: This here is a great wine, one with enormous ageing potential. Which means that it is best to leave it alone for another two or three years. But then, yes, then you will be delighted with the "perfect Syrah", provided you get hold of one of the 24 bottles we receive! Take courage, it's always worth a try!
