As you probably know, Syrah is our hobbyhorse, so to speak. Of course, our standards are correspondingly high, so you can be sure that you are buying a great wine from this variety from us. Like this one from Kelly and Bob Foley, which they harvest in Calistoga and mature in old barrels, i.e. aroma-neutral, in order to preserve the character of the site - Solari Vineyard is the name of the site. We are blown away when this wine is in our glass! Almost impenetrable purple-black, it shimmers in the glass and smells incomparably good with a wild mix of dark berries, pepper, violets, fresh mushrooms and pithy bacon. Silky-soft tannins and plenty of power combine to create a great wine that unites the old and new worlds. Of course, the wine is a true Californian, as its expressive fruit proves, but somehow a European genome seems to give it that certain twist. Try it, preferably with a thick steak!
