Syrah N° 10

2021

Traubensorten Syrah, Mourvèdre, Viognier
Trinktemperatur 16° - 18°

It's hard to believe that this is the tenth vintage Jim has bottled. How time flies! Jim Binns is no longer an unknown quantity, he has established himself in record time and today stands like a rock in the surf for high class Rhône wines, not only in Southern California, no, worldwide and nobody and nothing can touch him! I am delighted that Lisa Perrotti-Brown from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate sees it the same way as I do and mentions Jim Binns in the same breath as Manfred Krankl. But now to the wine. The aromas wafting from the glass are manifold: blackberries, plums, cardamom, Tellicherry pepper and thyme. What an incredible aroma! On the palate, the wine is agile, yet silky and ends with an ultra-long echo! For me, this wine is elegant, transparent like its predecessor. But I almost like it a little more!
