John has been buying the grapes for his divine Syrah from his friend Lee Hudson for many years, I know that sounds a bit unusual, but I'll come back to that in a moment. Buying, that's a bit disturbing, right? But don't worry! Lee and John worked out a contract to guarantee the maximum quality of the grapes. Their contract is based on the acreage, not the weight of the grapes harvested. Because of this, and because they know their craft, Kongsgaard's Syrah is also one of the top three, up North. Loaded, with dark berry fruit and great spice, it makes everything clear on the nose. A little air and it snuggles up to the palate like your cat snakes around your legs. Of course, it shows its wonderful structure, but this is immediately packed with extract just before the saliva flows. Its almost endless finish is juicy, harmonious and finely mineral!
