Trousseau BRUYERES «Cuvée des Géologues»

Analogous to the doctors at the Aviets, the geologists are honored here. And I can assure you, these guys did a mighty fine job when they advised Lucien on the right terroir for his trousseau. God, how I LOVE this wine! Whenever we spot it on a wine list, which isn't very often, I have to indulge in it. The color, yes, this is a red wine, not a rosé, even though it is very light – but who cares about the color, excuse me. Heavenly how magnificent red fruit nuances combine with spicy components here. Such a scent makes you close your eyes and enjoy it quietly, all by yourself! The wine flows across the palate just as sensationally. With the first sip, you might still detect some CO2, but that disappears completely and very quickly. This wine glides over the palate in a silky and almost weightless manner. After reading my description, you would never expect such a presence. But the wine fulfills every desire of a connoisseur who longs for an elegant, smooth, and gentle wine. This is great art!
