Trousseau Côtes du Jura Rouge

2022

Traubensorten Trousseau
Trinktemperatur 12° - 14°

Exactly, this Trousseau is MY favorite. As you know, I already have a white cuddly toy - Jean-Pierre Pellegrin's Grand'Cour Blanc - and Pignier Trousseau is my red cuddly toy ... too bad you can't pet wine. But now for the facts you might want to know: Strictly speaking, this Trousseau is not a pure Trousseau, because it is "contaminated" with Poulsard and Enfariné, which grow between the Trousseau, are harvested together, completely destemmed and fermented together. The wine is matured for just ten months in used oak barrels of various sizes, 228 liters (Pièce Bourgignone) and 500 liters (Demi-Muids), before the Pigniers bottle it without filtration on a "fruit day" according to the lunar calendar. I almost can't get the glass away from my nose ... oh yes, it's the aromas of small red fruits, pepper and other quite exotic spicy notes that cast a spell over me - black tea is also present. Huii, how it flows - Robert would say it has almost no resistance to flow - it flows silky, shows fine-grained tannin, but this is washed away as soon as the saliva flows and it flows in streams! A powerful wine, one with elegance, finesse, acidity and sweetness (extract, not sugar) and an incomparably harmonious finish. I LOVE this wine, which by the way is incomparably digestible thanks to its sulphur content of less than 20 milligrams per liter - all Pignier wines are extremely low in sulphur and therefore extremely well tolerated ... just by the way!
