Crémant d'Alsace Murmure ROSE Brut Nature

2022

Traubensorten Pinot Noir
Trinktemperatur 10° - 12°

Rosé is not usually my thing, but of course I tasted it anyway. Fortunately, I have to admit today. Once again, I was surprised by the quality of these wines. Frank's wines, if they were grown in Champagne, would be among the very best you could buy there. And here in Alsace, they are the measure of all things. Perhaps even in the entire French crémant scene. Frank leaves his wines on the lees for at least 24 months, most of them even much longer. This results in a fine mousse, a wonderfully pronounced yet delicate, elegant aroma. His Pinot Noir, i.e. his rosé, is a truly, Reinhard Lang would say, delicious wine. Its aroma of red currants, raspberries and delicate floral nuances is awesome. It is as complex as a great rosé champagne, not only on the nose, but also on the palate, where it heralds a long, harmonious and juicy finish that is powerful yet refined. It's your own fault if you drink Prosecco!
