Crémant Graubünden

2018

Traubensorten Pinot Noir
Trinktemperatur 10° - 12°

Franck Buecher is a bit of a perfectionist, like us. Yes, even a clown, which Franck undoubtedly is, can strive for perfection and be serious. Anyone who has ever tasted his wines will immediately confirm this. Buecher's crémants are not only among the best that Alsace has to offer, no, they also have nothing to fear from the best winemaker champagnes – not to mention the others, the industrially produced fizz, which we don't even want to talk about.

Franck's Esquisse is made from almost equal parts Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois. The fruit comes from Bucher's young vineyards. No, that's not always a disadvantage, not necessarily. Here, you will see that the result is quite commendable and a lot of fun. It has a wonderfully yellow fruity scent, with a few pear and apple aromas on top and a few delicate brioche flavors shining through. Delightful! The wine impressively fills the palate. For many, it is probably unexpected, but we, who know Buecher, expected that his “little one” would also have a lot of energy, be juicy and almost a bit “zesty” – I just can't put this feeling into words better than “it makes your tongue click, in disbelief and repeatedly checking because it is so unspeakably delicious” ... or should I go for “Umami”? – a powerfully appetizing, fresh and totally juicy Crémant that will not only give you, but also your friends and relatives, all your loved ones, much joy and will surprise many more than you think.
