Anjou Blanc

2022

Traubensorten Chenin Blanc
Trinktemperatur 12° - 14°

It's no longer a secret that we like Chenin Blanc. So last year, in June, Martin suddenly arrived with three bottles of Chenin Blanc. The winemaker's name is Thibaud Boudignon. His "Brudi", who worked as a sommelier in Vienna, had warmly recommended them to him. Later that afternoon, the corks were popping. Wow, that was a party! "Brudi" didn't promise too much, Boudignon's wines rock! Everyone was allowed to take a bottle for the evening ... Modest as I am, I opted for the Anjou blanc, because - as I usually say - a winemaker is best judged by his supposedly simplest wine. And I can tell you in advance that we found it difficult, very difficult even, not to empty the bottle straight away. But the professional side in us won out. Quince, herbs and white flowers combine to create a delicate, almost fragile fragrance, indescribably clear, no, pure. This Chenin moves through the palate in a fine yet powerful, lively and structured way, before finishing with a crisp, mineral and very long finish. A great little one, this Anjou Blanc!
